Connecting Metry to Microsoft Copilot Studio / Power Platform
You can connect Metry data to Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, or other Power Platform services using the Metry API and an API token.
What you need
- A Metry API token (see below)
- Access to Microsoft Copilot Studio or Power Platform
- Basic familiarity with HTTP connectors or custom connectors in Power Platform
Get your Metry API token
- Log in to the Metry portal .
- Go to Settings > API.
- Copy your API token. Keep this private - do not share it with third parties.
Connect via a custom HTTP connector
In Power Platform, Metry can be reached as a REST API. The base URL is https://app.metry.io/api/v2/. Authentication uses a Bearer token.
Example HTTP header to add to every request:
Authorization: Bearer <your-api-token>
Refer to the Metry API documentation for available endpoints, including consumption, meters, and cost data.
Known issue: DCR authentication errors
Some customers have encountered authentication errors when connecting Metry to Copilot Studio via the DCR (Data Connection Runtime) flow. If you see an error after completing all setup steps, this is a known issue on our side. Contact support@metry.io and include:
- A screenshot of the error message
- Your account name
- The approximate time the error occurred
We use these logs to diagnose the problem and will follow up as soon as we have investigated.
OAuth for registered apps
If you are building an integration that other Metry users will connect to, you need to register an OAuth app instead of using a personal token. See Register an app for OAuth authentication .
